Myth busted. Our friend from the Philippines solve the algae under sun light mystery. (http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=185999)
It was down to algae eaters, in his base, snails and shrimp.

Enough of them, NO ALGAE under sunlight:

Tough luck for us who keep fish that eat snails and shrimps.
