all my plants died on vacation!

Came back after a 10 day vacation and my power must;ve gone out. My Lights are on a electronic timer and when I got home, the timer was blinking at "12:00" and everything was reset. Must've been a storm that hit my area.

literally, all my plants...a boat load of them....dead....

Time to start all over. Was loving my tank too.....

Happened to me a couple years back too... Except the only difference was that I had left the timer in the "off" position and my housekeeper didn't realize that the aquarium lights were supposed to come on. Everything was practically dead after being gone for ~9 days.

Sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear. Guess that's a pro for mechanical timers...

how long was your power out for? Plants are not as sensitive as corals are so they shouldn't die over night :x...but what do i know...sorry for your loss

all digital timers should come with a battery backup. my one digital timer resets when jostled slightly though... sucks.

sorry you lost your plants.

This is exactly why I use mechanical timers now. It happened to me to many times with the digital timer. I hate replacing batteries in the digital timers as well.
