please point the dummy "me" in a better direction since Im stumbling in the dark it seems. I do research when I have free time, I guess thats its the wrong info Im reading lol
My goal is to build a complete regulator SS316 thats worth using for the long hawl. for now I have a used peice of junk that does work, but not well...
I'm very happy with the Fabco NV-55, bought new from Fabco. I also am satisfied with their NV-55-18. Both are very good reliable valves with smooth movement that does not slip. Same internal parts in each but the difference is in the ports(openings) in the valve. The NV-55 is nice and small using the 10-32 fitting which some find too small. But the NV-55-18 is too large and heavy for me to like just for using 1/8" solid plumbing. I like seperating things on tubing. I find it easier to place parts where I want them and where they are less likely to get broken when I'm changing tanks. I made a small bracket to get the NV-55 out of the way and where I can get to it easy.
Been looking for this Fabco NV 55 in Canada with zero luck.. Any ideas as to find a place that will ship to Canada? I will 100% use this needle valve if im lucky enough to find one.
If your measuring by BPS or using a controller do you really need dual gauges? There are a handful of aquarium specific valves in that range with a single gauge.
The needle valve is labeled Number 2 in the picture.
I think you may be confusing needle valves which are the question with regulator and gauges?? But on the need for two gauges, I would not want to use a single gauge reg as one tells me the output to the equipment and the other tells me the tank pressure. Once the liquid is used out of the tank, the tank pressure lets me know how close to bottom I'm getting. I feel I need both.
Max Working inlet Pressure: 3000 Psi (207 bar)
Max working outlet pressure: 150 psi
Working Temperature: -10°F to 100°F
Body Material: ss316 1/4"FNPT angle type metering valve
CV: 0.004, 0.03, 0.16
End connections: NPT 1/4" Female
Handle selection: Vernier
lastly, can someon explain what range of CV we are looking for in our usage of metering valves?
Sorry bro its my falt, Im daft today haha. Im in Ontario
Today is my big B day and my head hurts lol my mother in law is just bitching sooooo much about everything. Not thinking correctly right now haha. The beer probable is not helping any haha
I bought two needle valves from Premium Aquatics, $20 each. Solid and work like a charm. One for my 15 gal and the other for my 29 gal both wih $35 Harbor Freight regulators. Spot on. Watts solenoids.
Thanks. But I already have a metering valve in the mail... I will now use this thread to review the valve and post pics when it gets here
