I'm Mike, and I'm a 19 year old biology student at Black Hill State University in Spearfish, South Dakota. I currently have 4 tanks up and running, all of which are lightly to moderately planted. I look forward to learning from everyone here.
Wanted to say hello also! I'm from Opal which is 70 miles east and a little north of Sturgis. I just joined here a couple of days ago and love all the great information!
I just got back in to aquarium hobby in January and going to try a planted tank working on getting my dirt mineralized right now it just keeps raining LOL. How many aquarium hobbyist are in West River ? looks like most are East River.
Aww, I miss the West River/East River divide that is South Dakota I grew up in Rapid; went to college in Brookings, and lived in Soo Foo for a year. I had my first "real" tank in Sioux Falls. I miss the water there. My Phoenix H2O is ridiculously hard, high pH, and makes everything crusty.
HEY! Just got an account here. I see a couple familiar names. I'm Josh from Huron! Currently have just 2 planted tanks at the moment. Still a big noob to the planted world. Definitely looking for some tips.
I'm looking at starting up the hobby again, anyone out here have any plants/equipment they could help me out with? Looking specifically for H.C or dward Hairgrass for right now. I'll be starting up a rebuild thread here in the next couple weeks.
Just to create a recent post. I have been here for years in Rapid and The Planted Tank. I only have 1 75g, but have created many planted tanks. All of them have been self sustaining (only needing to feed the livestock).
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
