Hi tommi, nice tank, love the discus and the aquascaping of it all! Its a very nice tank indeed,,,,on the second picture it kinda looks like the discus is outside the tank!!!!!! im so stupid!
What other fish you got in it?
I started this tank in January 2002. The tank is a Juwel Rio 240L. I use a juwel filter and heater. I don't use a heater cable. Heat is 28°C and pH is about 6.8 (I never measure Kh, Gh, NO3 ect). I make 15% wather changes a week. Lighting is 2x36 fluorecence and I use reflectors to increase the light. I use Tropica mastergrow and DIY CO2 (2x2L).
My fishes are:
8 cardinals
4 rummynose tetra
5 kuhli loaches
3 cory
1 pecolita pulcher
3 SAE
Discus:
1 Golden sunset
1 Red pearl
2 young blue discus (don't know what strain)
I also have a pair of red turquoise discus in a breeding tank and 2 1/2 week old fries
VERY nice! I've been wanting to introduce Discus to my 55g planted tank for quite some time but have just been far too intimidated by the maintenence regimen.
What do you do for maintenence? (Water changes, water purification, UV, etc.)
