Newbie introduction

Hi guys/gals I've been lurking on this forum for a while now and finally got my tank set up and first plants in. My uncle and dad were really into aquariums about 15 years ago. My uncle had better luck with them and had a 75 gal planted low tech tank that was beautiful. I was given this 30l, stand, gravel from a friend, my dad stored his and his brothers hardscape stuff from years ago. So I thought I could get this started for cheap

. I'm not complaining it give me an opportunity to get better quality lights filters etc. than I would have done without the gifts. Anyway here is a pic of the tank after I got it planted.

Welcome! Your tank looks very nice. I am also a new member of this site. My tank has been setup for less than two weeks.

Yeah Cat I was thinking about making one. The journal section has been a big help with how fast things grow and other changes y'all make. I hope mine doesn't go to crap. This is my first tank and so far it's been awesome. My LFS doesn't have a ton of plants, since I'm in south Alabama ordering plants this time of year is out of the question isn't it?
