endler fry advice?
I may try my hand at breeding endlers. Should I leave fry in the tank to hide? And hide in what?
Should I place the mom in a new tank until she gives birth then move her again? To be forearmed with knowledge is to be forearmed!

If the tank is heavily planted, you don't really need to do anything. They'll hide on there own. I actually had such a hard time catching the fry that I just gave up and left them in the tank. They will grow fast under the proper diet.
They hide in anything though. They like moss but mine especially liked hiding in bushes of Anacharis. It's the only reason I had the plant. |

Just provide lots of moss and floaters and you'll have more Endlers than you know what to do with.

If anything, you'll eventually be in a spot where you're hoping about half your females get eaten by the parents when they're small enough. Though, with my luck, that never happens. Usually just have population explosions.

I have some floaters but not really much hiding spot and every month or two I'm getting rid of a bunch of them.

Fortunately or unfortunately depending on how many generations later we're talking about, endlers don't tend to eat fry.
After a generation or more, you will want to cull, cull, cull. |
