About to set back up my picotope. Can you please give me some ideas what I could do? The filter i have for it is an ac70 or I could just use my knano 240gph pump for movement.
Sparkling gourami, microrasboras (phoenix/chili/strawberry/etc), scarlet badis, betta obviously, or just shrimp. Could also do a couple african dwarf frogs.
Pygmy sunfish, least killifish, and pygmy killifish may also do well in such a small tank, depending on its length - a long tank is much more useful than a tall one. If it's a tall or square tank, I'd just go with some inverts.
If it's a long tank, some parasphaerichtys lineatus may work. They are the world's smallest anabantoids, and although only pretty when breeding (this picture shows a breeding male), they could be quite interesting to own:
