I had a bunch of endlers in my low-tech 5.5g nano w 18w over it that I gave away recently. I am getting an outbreak of thread algae+BGA now. I imagine the large bioload removal must've thrown off the balance somehow, as well as removed a substantial chunk of the nitrate source.
The only inhabitants in there now are a few cherry shrimp and a pair of pygmy cories. I feed way less now since there are less fish, so how can I adjust the balance to meet the previous demands of food/waste? Will it "reset" itself in time?
thx
