I have a 3 gal planted in my office, with Cherries and what I called Endlers. Because I worried that my Endlers might have some guppy in them, I am getting some new Endlers. In order to make room, I netted out the old Endler/guppies, and took them home where I put them in my community tanks.
Today I repeatedly thought I saw fish swimming in the 3 gal. I thought I had missed a fish or 2, but upon examination, it was the cherries swimming around all over the place. And I can see way more shrimp than ever before.
I don't think the Endlers preyed on the shrimp, and the numbers of both increased, but with the fish the cherries seemed to mainly walk about on the plants, and hang out closer to the sides and the bottom. They weren't zooming around through the entire water column like they are now.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
