Dosing tips?
Any tips or things I can improve on?
Both tanks have algae, the ten only has some staghorn (on anubias and some of the dwarf hairgrass) The 55gallon only has BBA (Been fighting this in this tank for many months, dont know how to get rid of it) All plants are growing very well. 55 gallon dosing schedule:Recommended dose of Iron and Potassium (Both flourish) and CO2 constant 10 gallon: A little more that recommended twice a week (after atwer changes--30% wednesdays and 60-70% saturdays) constant CO2 Both tanks have strong lighting and are on an 8 hour photoperiod. |

What do you mean by strong? It can be too much. Also what's your plant load and what do you mean when you say recommended (in regards to ferts)? Are you basing this off of EI?

I'm using the doses off the bottle.
lighting on the 55g is coralife t5 colormax and a Deep Blue T5 10000K Daylight bulb. 10g is 1 deepblue 10kk daylight bulb, and a screw in 5100k 10W eclipse bulb (added because the other light wast covering the whole tank) Plant loads are medium (not densely planted, but more that sparse). |

EI stands for Estimative Index.
It is a dosing regimen. Giving your lighting (and assuming they are T5HO bulbs), you probably have enough plants and light to benefit from EI dosing. For your CO2, are you using a drop checker (with a 4 dkH reference solution) to ensure that you are attaining levels around 30 ppm?
