Am u doing something wrong or what?

So I was starting to put together my co2 set up. Which is fire extinguisher fed home made cerges reactor. I have connected regulator to extinguisher. Plugged solenoid in pulled trigger....... Not a sausage. I make sure needle valve is fully open...... Not a sausage . I took regulator off and double checked extinguisher and that is definitely working. The solenoid is clicking off and on and the gauges are moving showing pressure but I'm not getting anything. Any ideas?

Problem 2.......
I start filling up bubble counter obviously it starts weeping water once it gets above the little bit of glass the gas comes through. So I grab a bit of tubing. Put it on the counter and then the other end on to my nice expensive non return valve(£17!!!!) and again once I get to that little bit where the gas comes out te water starts to go down tubing and.............. Weeps out of my valve! :'( Am I being really dumb here is the big guy upstairs telling me I am not meant to have a co2 fed tank?

Your bubble counter needs to stay vertical, with gas flowing up, not to the side, I'm not sure if you are doing that from your explanation. Furthermore, you are keeping the handles clamped, right? The CO2 only flows when the handles are pressed together.

Other than that, I'm not sure. Why bother using a fire extinguisher anyways :|

Yeah bubble counter vertical and handle fully pressed down. Fire extinguisher as it was cheapest option for me and people get good results with them

Can't offer much help, but I got a good chuckle out of this saying. Never heard it before!

Is the check valve on backwards? Maybe somewhere has a significant leak. Perhaps your needle valve is turned the wrong way? I'm not totally sure, but something sounds off.

Needle valve has been opened and closed several times and no joy. Have tried just running with purely the reg attached. Not even a bit of tubing and still got nothing.

So you have your regulator hooked onto the fire extinguisher, then there is a solenoid hooked onto the outlet of the regulator, then a needle valve on the outlet of the solenoid. You put the regulator on the fire extinguisher, plug in the solenoid and open the needle valve, (with nothing on the outlet of it) and nothing comes out? But the gauges are reading both tank pressure and regulated pressure? If this is the case, I would have to say that your solenoid is bad.
