Deliberately intro'd Algae to the 40.

Call me crazy. Not sure exactly what kind of algae it is, but I got some in with some plants. Looked like Cladophora but it gets long like hair algae if I let it.

I wrapped it around some sections of wood to get it started- let it root into the wood and use a toothbrush to keep it groomed down like moss.

It entirely depends on the aesthetics of the design. But I think in this case (ancient forest) it works.

Thanks! I think when I re-do the tank one of these days I am going to do a dry start and brush things like mini fissidens and mini mosses on the walls and roof. There are a few places where mosses have self attached anyway- but cooler if I can place them in specific areas. That's the only regret I have on the design.
