What's up NY. I am a new member just giving a shout out to my fellow AquaHEDS. I have been in the Aquaworld for 20+ years and have learned a lot. I am willing to help anyone, as my knowledge is useless if i cannot share it with others. I currently work in midtown manhattan and reside in upstate NY. I will try my best to help out with any deals or requests pertaining to our LFS's. I currently own a lot of big tanks (150Gal+). I have spared fish, bred fish, killed fish, ate fish and caught fish. All in the name of the hobby
I now separate my tanks in 3 categories Killer tank (predators/Pirahna), Ghandi tanks (Community Fish/Swordtails) or Loner Tanks (Species Tanks/Flowerhorn). I love a planted Ghandi Tank but gotta have em all.
NY we've got snow coming, so more time to spend working on the tanks.

Have we established which state has the best fish?
My guess was Florida, however I may be wrong?

Welcome to the board! Since you live upstate, perhaps you have access to some fish stores that we don't. So are there any fish store worth visiting where you live? When I am say worth seeing, I mean a good selections of fish and plant.

I am looking for some female dario dario in particular.

I've got a PetSmart, a Petland and 2 Mom&Pop LFS's. 1 of the Mom&Pop's should be called "place with filthy unstocked tank world". The other is really good, mostly salt but every now and again they will surprise you. Mostly with quality fish people bring back. Oversized fish for dirt cheap. I often venture out and like most of us, if we're in a certain vicinity we'll hunt out the nearest fish store. My petSmart just recently had a $1 sale on livebearers. on fish up tp $4.00. The cashier rang me up the subtotal was like $45.00 i swiped my PetSmart card and it broke down to less than $20.00. That's all that is/was cooking by me. I miss PETS in Long Island. Nice Spot. Is it still there?
