Pet Town in El Toro (Cherry shrimp)
I was just at Pettown for the first time and was very impressed with the service. They were very helpfull and patient ( one of the employees netted three of the Cherries that looked like females out of about 30 shrimp and didn't complain or look the least bit frustrated).
The thing that impressed me the most was the fact that no one tried to talk me into buying anything I didn't need, like at other stores. I was encouraged to only get one of the honey gouramis I wanted because they were out of females. -They had Wood, Cherry (3 for 15.99) , Amano ( 3 for 5.99), and ghost shrimp for sale. - Threadfin Rainbows (3 for 13.99 I think) The only thing that was a little dissapointing was that the feeder goldfish didn't have any lights. I was there today, too.
Those Cherries are real pricy over there ($5.99, 3/$15). At least they're not fully grown--you should have them for a while. I begged Scott (co-owner) to get those things in for the longest time. After striking out, I had Strictly Fish (Lakewood) order them. Petown got them in the next week. Same thing happened with Glossostigma! I agree--they're good folks.

They are the best in Orange County from what I've seen. They really care about their customers and their tanks!

Agreed! They are the best. But I don't undertsand how they stay in business -- any time I go in there they have about 6 people working -- it's not a huge store. Anyway, reccomended!
