flourite
Hello, I just got my 25 gallon tall for christmas yesterday : )... Anyways, I got 2 16 lb bags of flourite (and only needed one), rinsed it,but not really thouroughly, and put it into my tank. I put a plate onto the flourite and poured the water in, which came out to be a muddy brownish color. I know on the instuctions on the bag it says that it will be cloudy, This cloudiness doesnt really seem like it will settle on my own.. Should i run my filter or do anything else? Thanks.

It should settle in a couple of days to a week. Running a filter may help, but you'd need to rinse the sponges out once it clears.

Run the filter. Do a water change or two if you want to hurry along the process.
