Planted Tank VIP
|
You a rAC's. I have modified them so the water sheets straight down instead of across the surface. This keeps the water surface pretty much still (barely a ripple every now and then) but creates a nice rolling action in the water keeping stuff from settling on the bottom. If it were possible to move my 135 gallon tank I would probably slap a couple of AC 500's on there to supplement what I have. Unfortunately the combined weight of the tank, stand, and rockwork is over 1000lbs without water so its not going anywhere
I was thinking about making my own filteration system using a HOB overflow and a 30 gallon sump (currently the qtine tank under the 135) but I am worried about outgassing CO2... I have to think about it a lot still... |
