advice on replanting

i want to do a replanting since i'm going to replace my substrate. should i go with a somewhat symmetrical design or a more assymetrical design? the plants in the picture are wisteria, riccia and amazon swords. i plan to carpet with the riccia with a net-mesh. any other suggestions are appreciated!

how does the driftwood look if you turned it 90 degrees to the right? the really flat side looks kinda off to me- maybe it would look better sitting on that side? or with the flat side closer to the side of the tank. i love the idea of the riccia carpet- i was thinking about it the other day actually

The picture on the left looks better. Those are really stunning, bright colors. How do you keep your plants such a vivid green? And what is the carpet plant?
