Hello, was wondering if anyone could ID this algae for me. It started out growing only on driftwood as a little dark green puff ball, sort of like a cheerleaders pom-pom. I thought it was kinda cool so didn't bother it. Well within a few months it multiplied and covered every square inch of driftwood and rock in my tank. It looks like dark green fur but if you look at it close, it's those little puff balls. I put in some crayfish which seem to eat it but never eat it down to the base so it always grows back. Any ideas on what this could be? I should take some pictures and post them , that would help. I will if anyone wants me to. Thanks

I had the same problem with my tank. It's probably a combination of fungus and some green algea growing on it. I started out with what you described..white puff balls. Then algea wanted to grow on it so now I had green and brown algea on the stuff. It will eventually go away. It doesn't harm your fish.

Security Question
While balancing on a piece of wood, two inches by four inches known as a 2x4, John and his friend Sally both spotted a dalmatian inside of a truck with sirens. The animal with John and Sally is a _ _ _?
