Planted Tank Obsessed

help me find a green plant! (or help me with my java fern)
so...i have a corner of my tank that needs a little green. i have a little too much red in my tank. something that can compliment anubias nana with that sort of color, but i want a stem type of plant. i was thinking of something along the lines of Cardamine lyrata, but any type of leafy green plant will do.
i originally had a java fern but it's starting to turn black and gritty on a good portion of the leaves. which is weird because i have UG, R. wallichii, and Aust. 'red' in the tank and they're all doing fine. you can offer me advice for either scenario. i would like to try to save the java fern and make it a show specimen since it is the 'phillipine' type. how it looks right now is a travesty... |

How mych light do you have on the java fern? Maybe you can move it to a shady spot.

that could be it. it gets blasted with indirect sun for a couple of hours during the day. i know it isn't a nitrate deficiency because i suffered from greenwater for the longest time.
