ph buffer

just started my first doy co2 and was wondering if i should add some ph buffer to the tank? did not want to kill the fish with the ph drop. any suggestions?

No need to, CO2 was/is often said to eat KH, but it doesn't. The shift in pH only represents how much gas is in the tank, mineral content (KH/GH) doesn't change so it's not the type of pH shift that will harm a fish by disrupting it's osmoregulatory system.

I should add that adding bicarb will however cause a shift in KH that could kill your fish. So you could actually hurt your fish when your intention is to help them.
