Rare Livebearers
Anyone in the NYC/LI metro area keep any rare livebearers?
I've got a tank full of black-bar endlers (not so rare on this forum at all). I'm interested in obtaining some Hets or even just hearing about people's experiences with various Limia and other livebearer species.

I have a tank just waiting on a shipment of Limia tridens, and am setting up another for other livebearers (undecided at this point though), so I guess you could say I'm just getting into livebearers myself.
I've kept Heterandria formosa for a few years now, which are wonderful little fish. Very small, not overly active, unpicky about food, doesn't eat their own fry, extremely hardy. |

What species of halfbeaks do you have? I am looking to get either Dermogenys siamensis or Nomorhamphus brembachi, two fishes that won't get bigger than 1.5".

I have koi swordtails and live thirty minutes away from Manhattan with no traffic, does that count?
