before starting my new tank i need help on parameters

ph: 7.8
NO2: less than .3
GH: 9
KH: 5

I know those are bad parameters for a planted tank so can you let me know how to make it great for a planted? That is the parameters for my tap water...should I just buy water by the gallon at my lfs?

And who told you that those are bad? I think it's closed to perfect. You can inject CO2 and lower the pH to 7. Your KH has enough buffering capacity. You have enough GH for plants to use. Nitrite should be gone soon anyway

You will find that many people would trade you their parameter's from the tap for yours anyday of the week !

Plant away... those are good numbers.
