Algae Grower

I was wondering if anyone uses water that goes through a Potassium based whole house water softener. I am thinking of switching from salt which I think is not good for my plants. Some of my plants just seem to not want to grow (Java Fern, Java Moss), while others flourish (Swords, Hygro).

I've read about many people using the pottasium chloride instead of the sodium chloride with great results. Not to mention that your plants will love the pottasium. It's probably better for us humans too, especially if you have high blood pressure.
