Need photo posting help

Forgive me if this has been asked and answered before, but how do I post actual photos in my post, instead of a link/icon you have to click on. Currently, when I add a picture, I add it by clicking on "manage attachments" and then I download from my photo file on my computer. Should I be doing this differently?
Thanks in advance!

If you have the image hosted on another server (i.e. your website, etc.) you can just put the location of the image (e.g. http://www.wonderwoman.com/fish.jpg) between the [IMG][/IMG] tags so that you have something like:

[IMG]http://www.wonderwoman.com/fish.jpg[/IMG]

I have these photos saved as a file on my computer, but, other than that, the only place I have these pics on the net is at Yahoo photos. I guess I could post the link, and give out my screen name and password, but I'd rather not. I was just wondering how everyone else does this. If memory serves, the very first time I posted with a picture, it actually showed up in the post, but I don't know what I did differently.

Yep, just checked- the first post I made under the subject "Wonder Woman's 100g- Test Post" (or something like that)- actually showed a real photo. Every other picture in a post I've made since then had been not visible until you click on the image thingy.

Christina you should be able to go to your Yahoo photos, bring up the photo you want to post here, right click on it, then click properties and copy/paste that complete URL it gives you in the image feature here and it should show the photo.
Give it a try...

WonderWoman,
If you only attach one image per post than the image actually appears. If you however attach more than one image per post the links to the image will appear.

Hey Kyle

I've attached multiple images in a single post and had them all show up. Should that not work...?

Well, I tried what Buck suggested, and it didn't work. I was just wondering how everyone else manages to have several actual photos in a post- it looks so much nicer.

Hmmm, can you guys give me an example? Right now the settings should only allow the image to show if there is one per post.

wonder woman, those links don't work for me -- not even if I copy and paste. Are you sure the address is right?

Kyle there are several images in this post.

wonder woman, if you check the link above, you can click "quote" and see how it's coded.

Amanda, that is because you linked your images from an external server. If you attach them straight to the board then the 1 image thing applies.

Christina & others ...

While I think you should consider buying your hosting here at PlantedTank.net, here is a free hosting solution from one of my Audi TT forum "friends":
