A couple of new cory's
I was at the LFS getting a few Asian rummynose and some Amano shrimp when I got to talking to one employees. He gave me two cory's that came in with some Discus for free. I'm looking for an ID.
Here are pics of both. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Wow awesome. First is the orange laser. Its more colorful after the cory settles in
Others looks like regular bronze cories i think. Not sure though. Awesome you got them for free, orange lazer are pretty rare and expensive

The dark one looks like C.aeneus "Black Venezuela", a black man-made form of bronze cory.

It doesn't look like a black to me, looks just like my bronze cories. I also have blacks to but they are bred from c. shultzis. Which to me look a lot better. The blacks will usually be all black with some red in the fins.

In person the dark fish looks "blackish", more black then bronze. I agree that it does not appear to be a true black, but maybe after settling in it will color up more.
Here is a pic of some other corys I recently got and I do not know their names either. Any ideas?

IDK, but www.CorysRUs.com has a pretty good stock list with photos that may help you get a working ID.
Nice finds!!

Probably doesn't help, but they are called green cories around here.
