0.65 watts per gallon

ok i have this old 70 gallon tank taht im planning to plant up but i comes with 2 eclipse system 2 hoods that sucks. each hood comes with 2 daylight florescent bulbs with 15 watts per bulb. One of the hoods only has one light working and its not the bulb because i tried other ones do not know what happened to it. So i basically have 3 15 watt bulbs. So my question is can i grow anything with 0.65 watts of light?

That looks like Ludwigia repens. I suppose it might grow... in fact, the specimen in that picture looks like it is being grown under low light, because it's tall, stretchy, and green. Under better conditions it takes on a red color (the common name for this plant is red ludwigia), and stays a bit more squat.

But I still think that the above picture is higher than .65 wpg, so I would expect it to be even more spindly, if it grows well at all, in your tank.

Personally, I want to say that it won't have much luck, but what can it hurt to try, right?

I forgot about anubias, though. I think anubias would be okay in your tank as well.

ive grown crypts, leggy bacopa, moss, anubias, wisteria, hornwort, and ambulia with 15W over a 20H. there was basically no algae and the plants did pretty well.

I'd try java fern, moss, anubias, crypts and some swords. Just be sure to give them a nutrient rich substrate, especially for the swords.
