Plecos, SAEs, CAEs, otos, and even amano shrimp will eat algae off the glass. I'm sure there are others too, but it's 3:20 and I'm tired.

This doesn't mean they'll keep it spotless though. The more algae eating fish you have will increase your chances of having clean glass. But don't assume that the fish will keep your tank immaculate for you. You still may, and probably will need to, scrape some algae off the glass.

I think your best bet are some otos and SAEs, they should do a pretty good job for you.

Besides Otos, SAE's and Bristlenose plecos, I've also found the rubberlipped pleco does a really good job with algae on the glass walls and broad leaved plants (Anubias spp.).
