Amazon Sword and other ?

I have always wanted to grow monster amazon sword but, biggest is only about 8" and about 9 month in the tank. How do I get them to grow fast but, one option is out I don't want to do co2.
And when buying new plants do I keep them in the pot or not.

Use root tabs if you have an inert substrate...even with a "nutritious" substrate, root tabs won't hurt if you use them properly.

And you can keep them in pots or not. I choose to take them out of the pots and plant them directly into the substrate.

Are you sure you have an amazon sword? There are different types of sword plants, that grow to different sizes.

would be best to post a pic of the sword in question.
i have swords grow 5+ inches in a month and others took 6 months to get 9"
