to many plants?

Do you guys think I have to many plants for my 20g tall. I am afraid of Co2 poisoning since at night plants take in O2 and release Co2.
i have 2.25 watts per gallon normal substrate and i dose.
here are the plants i have.

wisteria, anubias barteri, microsword, dwarf sag, ludwigia, corkscrew val, crypt wendtii, java fern, anacharis, banana plant, amazon sword, I will try and get a picture later when im not at work hehe

If you are worried, you can put an airstone on a timer to come on at night, but I doubt you'll suffocate your fish

My 29 is stuffed with plants. My fish have never been healthier. One fish death in the last 12 months.

I also doubt you could have too many plants. I'm injecting CO2 at the highest rate I can get away with (any higher, the fish begin to show stress). This level remains steady via a pH controller. So the CO2 is steady either by the plants themselves or by being injected day and night.

Recently, I had added some hornwort. Well, a lot. And that stuff lives up to its reputation of being a weed. I finally pulled it all out last night because I had missed a trimming last weekend, and it grew so much that it was literally choking off all room for the fish. The entire top of the tank was so covered that I had to move it out of the way to feed my fish. When I finally got it all out, it filled a full 3 gallon bucket (that's without water) and has filled my 29g tank so much that only the very top is getting any light.

One of the reasons I absolutely had to get the hornwort out is because the fish truly could not swim anymore. They were finding small pathways in between all the hornwort. So I would say I had about as much plant mass as one could have.

Even with that much plant mass AND with injected CO2 at the highest level, my fish were fine. They actually had more problems with the hornwort taking up all their swimming space than with CO2 toxicity.

Based on that, I'd say you're fine. Unless you've crammed your tank so full of plants that the fish can't move to eat, I can't imagine you can have too many plants.

As long as you've got decent water circulation and your CO2 levels at night don't skyrocket (which is easily solved with an airstone at night as clwatkins suggested) you should be fine.
