Gah. I used to work with a woman who actually bought one of these. She thought it was the greatest thing ever. Nothing I could say would convince her otherwise. :fire:

Notice how they mention they breed HARDY fish. They do that for a reason (because the conditions aren't good enough) :x

Holly cow :shock: That's mean. Shouldn't it be illegal? I'm not familiar with any animal cruelty law but I read some lawsuit regarding animal cruelties. Isn't this one of them???

They ALWAYS ALWAYS manage to get around the law. Maybe if some one made them right it wouldn't be that way.

Target used to mass sell these for about $15. Since then for a while I haven't seen them around, so at least there is some progress.

I'm glad to hear that! I hate how bettas are crammed into a thimble that they can't even turn around in, and ONE bowl movement polutes the water to hazardous levels. All mine are kept in at LEAST half a gallon with frequent water changes.
