My Tibees

Since I've always been a neo guy, I decided to jump into the deeper end of the pool. Thanks to dreamer yoyo these guys look awesome in my cube. They're so cool I can watch them for hours.

Default My Tibees

Hehe I can't pick a favorite. They are all my favorite. Especially after I walked in 90 degree weather to bring them home.

@ usgetata thanks I like you rack btw. How are yours doing?

Thanks ren. New Tibee babies are popping out here and there and i am playing detective every night . It is fun that you get many different color and pattern babies from the same batch same mama.

Are you breeding for a particular type/color, or can you leave them all in the tank & enjoy the results? Please be kind; I'm new to this! It would be much more fun to get random colors without worrying that you will eventually end up with a tank full of brown shrimp.

I don't want to steal Ren's thread so we can discuss it in my tibee thread. I am still pretty new to selective breeding too.

I'm breeding for either a fancy white tiger or the panda pinto but we'll see how these guys do in the next coming weeks.

Just wondering what classifies a pinto as a pinto? Is it the white lines on the tail and/or the white blotches on the head?

It's not the selective part I'm interested in- it's the many colors. I just think it would be fun having a multi-colored tank as opposed to all the same. But if it's only going to devolve to muddy brown, well, that's no fun.

From what I understand there "Pinto" is a Hybird between TB and Tiger.
What separate Pinto from Tibee is the soild body colors and the desire pattern.
The two most common pinto patterns are "Flower Head" and "Zebra Strips", but the color has to be totally solid without transparency in any part of the body.

To avoid muddy brown, Nuthatch, just don't mix CRS and CBS together in your project! I don't see muddy TB when mix BKK and WR together, it just became Dragon Red which is a beauty of its own.

Oh ok solid color and pattern. What other patterns are there other than flowerhead, zebra, and skunk?
