Best canister filter for 125 gallon turtle tank?

I am setting up a 125 gallon tank for my turtle and I don't know what the best canister filter would be for that size of a tank. Of course, the entire tank won't be filled with water, there will probably only be 30 to 50 gallons of water at most in the tank. However, I have not used a canister filter before as I am new to keeping aquatics, so I am not sure where to start. I was looking at the Eheim 2180 external filter, has anyone used that filter? I am looking for one that is very quiet but effective. Price is not an issue, I just want to get something of great value. Thank in advance!

I use a Fluval FX5 on my 150 gallon tank with two turtles and a whole bunch of cichlids. I have gone almost a year without having to clean the canister and doing 40% water changes biweekly and my cichlids breed like crazy.

The FX6 is sold now and is just as good from what I've heard.

FX5 will be able to manage the lift and draw well. It has some noise to it, but negligible.

Build a "topper" for your tank so you can fill it all the way up. If you take them out to feed them there really is not much mess. If $ is not an issue go fx6, if your thrifty get a couple if sunsun's.
