Help finding needle valve....

I have all the parts now to my new co2 system except for the needle valve.

I have done some research into metering valves and decided they might be beyond my budget.

So right now the leading candidates for the job are a needle valve from 3M I found or modify a valve out of a remote plane engine.

Does anyone have experience with this 3M valve or any other similar valve.Keep in mind I have this on a small 20 gal tank
so i need to keep the bubble rate down I would think.

Any help would be great.I can't even find a place that sells valves other than 3M.

Clippard is a popular brand of needle valve. I think you need the MNV-4K2 model. You can go to www.clippard.com to find a retailer near you.

I bought my needle valve from marine monsters for $22 (plus $6 shipping). It is a Clippard MNV-4K2.

You can get it straight from Clippard here for $10.10:

But shipping and handling is quite exorbitant since it's not exactly worthwhile for them to send someone out to the warehouse on a forklift truck to pick up one tiny needle valve and box it up. If you buy several and split the shipping costs with a few people, it becomes worthwhile. Shipping to my address would have come out to $15, so even then, it would have been slightly cheaper than marine monsters ($25.10 versus $28).

Granted, if you can find a retailer near you, you hit the jackpot and got yourself a great needle valve for ten bucks!

I got my needle valve from a RC airplane. I bought it from Tower Hobbies (towerhobbies.com). $11.99 includes shipping. You'll have to modify it to fit air tubing with a little nylon thread tape and a little epoxy. Part number 21181902. It seems to work great.

Hey thanks everyone for the suggestions.
I decided to go with the Clippard MNV-4K2.It sounds like my best bet and fits into my budget.

I have to admit i'm starting to feel like a little kid getting so impatient to have this tank up and running.
