Removing legs from Satelite LED+ ?

Is there any way to remove the extendable legs from an 18" fixture without having to snip them off?

Thanks a lot!

There's two screws on each end, remove them then slide the legs out along with the plastic end caps. There's a small plastic "clip" on the inside ends of the legs, pop them off the legs and you will be able to slide the legs all the way out of the plastic end caps. Put the end caps back on the light and you're done.

The end where the wires come out has some epoxy or something on it, I had to work it back and forth a bit to get it to come off after removing the screws. I ended up with a small crack in that end cap but it's hardly noticeable. The other side should come off easily.

This is for the 36-48" fixture, not sure if the 18" is different.

Must be some different construction on some of them. I opened mine up a while back and the metal leg was stamped flat towards the end. No plastic, the flat wide spot was the stop. The only way to get it out was to cut it.
Of course it's easy enough to take the end cap off and check! Good luck.

Mine were stamped two. There's a plastic stopper on there, remove it, and the stamped edge fits through the cover.
