Is it hard to keep the white sand clean with all the plants in the tank?
Yes that's what I tried to do with the colors since there is a lot of different plants in there.

It's not hard just have to get a gravel vac and do it once in a while.

Been a while but changed up the plants since my lights couldnt keep up with those plants and didnt have any co2. I put some jungle val. from another tank I had as well as a branch driftwood with flame moss and anabis tied on.
Also I'm going to change the fish in here as well. looks like I'm going to add a pair of apisto viejita redneck or apisto macmasteri super red with about
4 killifish
4 peacock goby
10-15 cardinal tetras or galaxy rasboras
3 albino corys
3-4 hillstream loaches

Hope to do changes soon, also will be removing endlers from tank

Scape looks good. I like the open space up front.

If you get all the fish on your list, you'd have roughly 30 fish inside an 18g. That seems like a ton of fish for such a small and tall tank. I have 7 cardinals and 3 guppies and I cant imagine having triple of what I already have.

ya i know looks like im going to get 6 peacock gobies, 4 killifish, 10 tetras and keep the 2 corys i have right now and just leave it like that maybe the apisto. I have a aquaclear 50 on it so I can push it a little. wish it was a 29 gallon but love the stand and canopy.

I hear ya on the stand/canopy. When I replaced my sons 10g with a 20h, I really wanted a 29g but his night stand was freshly varnished so opted not to replace it with a bigger stand.

Cant wait to see your finished community. How soon will you get your fish?

yup decisions lol!! I'm ordering the 4 killifish, and 4 peacocks tomorrow and I will be back home on wednesday to receive them.

Asl for the tetras i'm just going to get them maybe next week if i have time or within this month as well as think about adding an apisto. I'm really excited about this mix tho cant wait either!

lol ya its a lil of a pain in the ass but i have seen a lot of tanks set up by amano with sand so i got a good idea how to do it when i set it up. putting anubis between the rocks helps keep back the substrate
