Hardscape done.

All I need now is a tank.

Meticulous detail, well balanced with good focal points, lifelike and natural appearance. Nice achievement... very attractive & unique!

Fantastic work! I have checked out your blog, beautiful projects. I want to build a 45 gallon tall paladarium using some of your techniques. Can you suggest how I practice? I guess I should try foaming a small tank first? Do you foam, and wait for it to dry before sculpting? The GS seems too sticky to touch when wet, but I've just used it for crazy stuff, like caulking windows!

Wow.
This is by far the most positive critique I've ever received.
Humble thanks, wastewater.

Thank you, ggsteve!

I would approach the subject by not foaming a small tank but by foaming a happy little corner made out of whatever sheet you have at hand.

GS foam can be sculpted during drying out. After spraying it on whatever you have, you wait for half an hour or so. The surface has dried out and doesn't stick into your fingers anymore.
But inside, it's still undried and can be sculpted…

A couple of hours (depending on the thickness of the piece you foamed) and it's ready for cutting.

Caulking windows with crazy stuff? Wild.
I use it all the time, fixing window frames to framework.

Good luck with your project!
