I don't like names. Only the fish that are quite noticeable get names, and I don't name them, but someone else does. My neighbour tried to name a betta she gave me, and regarding all the lousy names she proposed, I just threw in VHS, which remained. However, all the snails are called bastard, and fish that do something nasty to the plants or other fish are gain the title "son of a.....", rather than just the fish's common name.
Not even my parrots had names, and they were quite social animals to interact with.
