With DIY co2 what kind of silicone should you use to seal the hole in the bottle cap.

something without any anti-fungal or anti-mold. If it kills those, it kills fish too. If you get the right fit, and a smooth hole, you might not need sealant even.

Can you use tiny bulkhead thingies? But for airline tubing? And where would I find these?

I use Liquid Nails, from the hardware store, as aquarium silicone just doesn't take any knocking about. I only use the Liquid nails on the outside of the bottle, not the inside, for I have no idea if it is fish safe.

How woudl the silicone hurt the fish if it does not come in contact with it? Can the fumes kill fish?

When I used aquarium silicone, I would put it ont he inside and outside of the bottle cap, for it didn't hold very well. I would let it dry completely as the directions say to do. I suppose the fumes are bad, it does smell a lot. At least until it is dry.

When I use the Liquid Nails, I use it on the outside of the bottle cap, it holds, even when used on a cap that is under pressure and leaking.

Silicone will not adhere to the plastic on soda bottle caps. I've used epoxy with good results or just drill the hole slightly smaller than the airline and you won't need any sealer.

A hot glue gun works good. On one of mine I used hot glue and on the other I just made a hole that was smaller than the hose and pulled the hose through using a pair of plyers. I was planning on hot gluing it but I couldn't find the gun.

does the tubing just go into a reactor strait or can i put a little bubble stone in the syphon to seperate the bubbles better insid the chamber... and what kind of foam did u use...?
