Lighting 55 gallon couple questions and opions needed

What will your photoperiod be? I have my lights come on at 1:30 in the afternoon. I have 130 watts come on first followed by the full 260 watts a half hour later. Dusk till dawn effect is not necessary especially if you tank receives any ambient light before the lights come on.
