Aquarium Adventure Sale

Saturday and Sunday will be 30% of all their tanks. They said their changing from the $1.50 per gallon sales they usually have to 30% off.
75 gallon selling for $150.00 will be $105.00. This applies to all their tanks.
The sale will go for a week but starting on Monday it will be only 29% off for the rest of the week.

I got this from a sales person at the Bolingbrook location.

Mentioned the 75 gallon cause I might pick one up. So go the the GCCA swap on Sunday, buy a bunch of fish, and stop at AA on the way home for a tank. Good deal.

I was told by my buddy at the Bolingbrook location that they were having 50% off all fish and 30% off tanks and some dry goods this upcoming weekend. Not sure if that includes Friday or not.

Per the mailer it's $75 for a 75 on Saturday 2/22 starting at 10am, but there's only 15 tanks per store.

All glass tanks are 29% off 2/14-2/23. Desktop tanks are 24% off.

50% off fish, inverts, corals, live rock & plants 2/14-23. Fish club members get 60% off the same stuff 2/21-23.

I got the last 3 a couple of months ago. I could use 3 more. Beardie, are they pretty shy for you?

If they know I'm around you'll hardly see them, but I can imagine them being even worse with only 3 of them. If I sit still for a while they'll come out and play. The males chase each other and it's fun too watch. I'm excited to have a full school.

went yesterday just to browse. I felt that the fish prices were good and they had some decent stuff but nothing unique. Saltwater fish and coral, awful. As far as plants…..ehhhhhh . Overall, they jack up all the reg prices so that after the discounts, youre paying maybe 10-20% less than normal. Last year I got a 75 for $75, which is a great price for an Aqueon tank. On a side, I got a mess of Cardinals from Fish Planet and they are doing great. IME a rather touchy fish at the start, especially in our water. Steve waited to call me untill he got a nice size in, called me immediately and left them in the shipping bags to minimize stress. I really like doing business with him.

I saw huge tetras at Fish Planet yesterday. I had to stop and look at them again because they were just so darn big. I ended up getting whatever Steve had left of the danio erythromicron - they are small guys right now but hey that's part of the fun of hobby - making things grow.

I was planning on going to Aquarium Adventure today to check out the sale and see if anything was new - sounds like it might not be worth looking at the plants. The last time I was there one of the managers said they are not going to carry Fluval anymore and going exclusively to AquaTop! I said "what"? My reasons to make the drive out there anymore are rapidly diminishing...

At the original post date of 2/10/14 AA was selling c. pearl danios for $6.49 each. Today at their 50% off sale they were selling them for $8.99 each. An increase of 39 percent. I noticed that a lot of the fish I was looking at last week were marked up from the prices of a week ago.
I would prefer that they were honest and called it a 20% sale rather than jacking up the prices and calling it a 50% sale.
Just another marketing tactic to bring people into the store.

Precisely!

I used to like going there and chatting with some of the employees, most of whom are very engaging and knowledgable. Dont go so much anymore.

How disappointing about the AA sale. Be careful, they often mislabel fish. They had danio erythromicron labeled as cpd's. The sales guy was good at point that out though.

I left my name and number for them to call me whenever they get some chili rasboras or danio erythromicron in but never got a call.
