Hi All: I just bought another 4 ft dual strip light for my 90 gallon and it came with two 4 ft GE Aquaray Bulbs. Are these any good for plants? No Kelvin # on them but they are 40W. Thanks -

The aquarays come in a few different versions, 5000k, 4400k, 9325k, 10000k, etc..

If this was one of the All-Glass dual light strips, those usually come with the 9325k bubls, if I remember correctly. If so, they are very popular here.

Any other product numbers on the bulb?

Thanks for answeing. Yes it is an all-glass light strip. The number on the bulb is F40T12-AR-FS. I understand the 40 is w and the T12 is size and AR is probablay Aquaray, FS may be freshwater and saltwater. Cant seem to fins a Kelvin in that code....? :?

FS is Freshwater/Saltwater. I believe they are 9325K bulbs. Nice.

F40T12-AR-FS = 9325k

http://catalog.gelighting.com/cgi-bi...p;category=FLU

If that doesn't work as a direct link, go to http://www.gelighting.com/na/search/search.html and enter "F40T12-AR-FS" into the Product Description field or "22914" into the product code.
