It might be a matter of inaccurate statements and unspecified comparison points of view. By lumen/watt output they are 20% or so brighter (as someone said above). But if we go by length, which is most likely the way they compare them, the 36in 96w PC is almost four times brighter than the 36in 30w normal fluorescent tube.
A less useful comparison since most people will base on the watt per gallon rule, rather than a number of tubes per tank or something like that, but still a great advantage of PCs. |
