Well - broke down and ordered 3 Lamotte kits today...
3110 Nitrate Test Kit 7297-DR Carbon Dioxide Test Kit 3138 Potassium Test Kit (yep!!) I had it up to ______ with the others - although the red-sea PO4 kit seems reliable so I never ordered phosphate from Lamotte. I think personally you are correct Tula... that thought was out of sheer despiration...

Will do...
I don't mind the dollar per test (the refills are far cheaper for thier kits actually)... I rather pay 1.00 for a test that is correct, accurate, and easy to read rather than pull out what little hair I have left with these other kits:-) At this point in my life the pita or agravation factor is worth the few extra bones to pay in order to avoid the frustration.

Never heard of a pottasium test kit before... Did you use any anti-algae liquid/powder/whatever?

Not yet Ace - thats a very very last resort... I got plants and invertebrates and otto's all in there... Algaecide not to friendly....
