The stone is a type of granite with quartz crystals in it. That about sums up my knowledge of minerology.

Yeh I think I'll stick to the first one, it seems more sleek. And thanks for the quartz info!

there are 13 stones including the little ones, there is one behind the main rock that just pops out behind (it is more white than the main rock).

Great start. I've just begun a like setup with a similar hardscape.

Your scape look great. The main rock is a beauty and really controls the focal point well. Nice job.

On the right side, I like the first better than the second arrangement.

I tried to change the right side back but every time i did it just looked different to the first and really placed so I ended up just going for a new look again, I think I like this one because it is subtle and doesn't take away from the main focal point.

Default Square One

Hi!

I think the second setup of the right side is the best.
The angle of the rock compliments the angle of the
big rock on the left so they look like they are
related.

sorry for the late update but I just came back from a long school trip. just before I left I planted the hc and the rest of the hair grass. I left it to my family to care for but that didn't work out most of the hc died and pretty much all of the hairgrass died. I'm hoping on getting some tissue culture plants from my lfs which come in next Sunday. The lights are also from my lfs which is Exotic Aquatic but I dont think they ship overseas.
I will post pics later but just keeping you up to date
