Looking for a new light

I am currently using a Finnex Planted + LED lights on my 5.5 gallon. My dwarf baby tears are growing really well but its not exactly how i want it. I was wondering how do i get that dark green carpet that i always see in the pictures.
Is it the lighting? if so which lighting would work for my 5.5 gallon. Or is it just good camera and Photoshop lol

First picture is what my HC looks like
Second picture is what i want it to look like

Would something like 10,000k cool white lights do it?

Hi Charlie,

I posted a longer reply on your other thread about this, but the answer is yes...and no. A cooler daylight spectrum or even running more blues will affect the color rendition and how the DHC appears to your eyes, but (to my eyes) it still doesn't look the shade of green in that photo. You've got some nice healthy DHC that looks great, and looks exactly as DHC is supposed to look, so changing the spectrum might get you the color rendition you want. But it might also change your PAR and negatively affect growth. I'd stick with whatever you're doing now and not worry about it...or spend some time getting to know color balance and saturation tweaks in photo postprocessing software.

Cheers,

Cara
