What kind of shrimp? How many? A little CO2 or 5bps? and 24/7 co2 or does it shut off at night?

I have 40 RCS in a 17g with Co2, but I only have it at 1 bubble every 3 seconds. My plants were priority before I got the shrimps, but now shrimps first before plants.
