I think the mountain would look great with DBT or some sort of moss planted in it, as you have figured.

Okay, so you do think planting the HC into the mountain would look better than planting into the sand area?

Well, I think I have found a "piece" of a tree that I can start my wanna be bonsai tree...lol...
I want to know what y'll think about the smooth rocks at the bottom of the "tree" & should I plant dwarf baby tears on the sand OR in the mountain crevices?

Well guys I had ordered 2 pots of HC about 8 weeks ago, it never arrived. Yes, I got refunded. Now, I decided I want Glosso, still seem to not find it. So my question is what should I put on the rocky mountain/sand/bonsai tree? I am at a lost and really want to make this a nice RCS home....but seems like I can't get anywhere, I am just at a stand still....

imo, the smooth rocks and the lava rocks don't go well together..
if it were me, i would take some of your top layer rocks and tie them with moss and let it grow out.
as for glosso/h.c. unless you're going to dose ferts, co2, or at least root tabs.. it'll be tough to grow them.

Those smooth rocks been out...I figured that it didn't look right while I been in the "waiting mode" for what to plant...lol...thanks for telling me to, that's confirmation....I did replace with the lava rocks....also, my rcs are already use to 2ml of glut (been dosing the 5g for months now with no ill effects) and I do have osmocote root tabs in the sand.....I just want to plant something nice....
I do have moss to "glue" on the mountain. The moss choice I have at hand, now, are taiwan/mini christmas/java/flame/peacock/and the terribly slow grower fissiden fontanus....which would others chose and where would you guys put it? Also, what would others plant in te rest of the tank?

I had this random thought.

If you put little manzi twigs and intertwined them in the rocks like roots, than a thick stump out of the top like a tree rooted into the mound it would help tie the the hard rock on the left with the soft wood on the right and look really cool!

I've never seen it, it was just this thought I had looking at the mountian - ive never seen that either, it looks really cool.

Thank you for the encouragement! Well, before I just read your suggestion, I decided to glue peacock moss on the mountain, plant s. repens by the tree, and I decided to use the slowest moss, fissiden fontanus, to grow my "bonsai" tree. I also decided to dose pure ACE ammo to start my little cycle (i am seeding from my 55g with fluval biomax in filter)...

Looks awesome. I love the lava rock mountain. Reminds me of the Crag from the TV show GUTS on Nickelodeon.
