Shrimp Rack SketchUp

3 Image Album

Color Key

Red are 2x4s
Yellow is thin wood, 1/8"-1/4"
Grey is basically everything else

I don't work with wood much but doubt this would actually fail.
That's 6x 10g, all filled besides one which will be used as sump.
Would like to flush so only tanks appears, may make a 1/8th" front plate for that.

6 x 10g shrimp rack under kitchen countertop (56k)

This for inspiration and reference.

As long as you use hard wood for the horizontal board it should be fine. Mine is pretty solid. Also it's a good idea to spray paint/waterproof/rubber dip to protect the wood.

Will be waterproofing for sure.

Got the 2x4 holding up the yellow boards, might make it 1" boards, should be sturdy enough.
