New evolve 8

I just finished the initial planting in my Evolve 8. I still have some more Staurogyne Repens that will likely be added. I was also considering some microsword and maybe an Anubias Nana Petite.

Substrate: Flourite Black

Hardscape:
Driftwood
Petrified wood
Zebra Stone

Flora:
Staurogyne Repens
Amazon Sword
Anubias Nana
Dwarf Sag
Frogbit (just a few pieces)

Any thoughts or suggestions on the initial setup? Should I try to make the sloping more noticeable?

I would've liked to have used a larger piece of petrified wood in place of the zebra stone, but I could not find a piece that I liked. I can always change it, but it seems to look ok thus far. I have some other small pieces of driftwood that could be placed there too.

Ive had this tank. The staurogynes wont make it with the leds. Might want to consider something less demanding or get a perch light from fluval and swap the led out for it.

Just from my experience. Looking good though!

I added some red ludwigia and put my DIY c02 in this past weekend.

I am hoping the staurogyne does ok with the stock light, ferts and c02, but will consider either the Finnex or Fluval perch light in place if they start to suffer. I do like the Finnex as it also has the moonlight built in on top of the CFL.

@ Jamesyu, Based off of when you had your Evolve running, did you find the filtration to be sufficient with the stock you had? I already added a bag of biomax for an AC70 along with some filter foam (and purigen/existing biomax and media from my current tank.) I had seen the Zoomed 501 on sale at Petco, and was considering getting one as I have rewards to use by the end of the month.
